I am an amateur photographer with a passion in nature, travel, and people photography. I work for one of the biggest consulting companies in the world, which requires me to travel extensively. In my part time, I spend most of my time improving my photography skills, as well as, increasing my understanding of light and composition. This blog is where I'm sharing my thoughts, tips, and tricks on the topic of digital photography.

Photographer Richard Susanto specializes in people, nature, and travel photography – mainly on location. Richard works for one of the biggest consulting companies in the world, which requires him to travel extensively. In his part time, Richard spends most of his time improving his photography skills, as well as, increasing his understanding of light and composition. 

His goal is to provide my clients with the highest quality product and service.

Richard is also doing stock photography, as a hobby. He has sold hundreds of photographs in various leading stock agencies, such as Getty Images.

Achievements and Activities:
- One of his people photos was selected by National Geographic to compete in the International Photo Competition 2010
- One of his nature photos was selected by National Geographic to compete in the International Photo Competition 2009 and voted in the Top 25 photos by Boston.com
- One of his Chicago based photos was selected by the Illinois Bureau of Tourism as the Top 3 photos in the Winter Photo competition

I truly believe that what makes a photograph is the person behind the camera, not the camera itself. I've been a happy Nikon users for the past few years. Here are the gears in my bag:
